Dadaping is the most outstanding Royal Teenieping so far.

— Dadaping in "Dadaping, the Smart One" talking about how outstanding he is as a Royal Teenieping.

Dadaping is the Royal Emotion Teenieping of rightness who appears in Catch! Teenieping. He is tasked with supporting Romi in her mission to catch the Emotion Teeniepings along with the other Royal Teeniepings. He debuts in "Dadaping, the Smart One."

Appearance[]

Dadaping 2

Dadaping's Appearance

Dadaping is a blue sky-themed Teenieping. He has a baby-blue body, an azure-blue collar shaped like a cloud with a golden bell/button, and a white underbelly with a golden Royal Symbol.

He has white eyebrows and a white hair tuft that resembles clouds. He wears blue glasses, a blue hoodie, and a dodger-blue bow on the back of his head.

He has ear-like extensions resembling puppy or lop-bunny ears, a cloud-like structure on the tip of his tail, a round nose, and a standard mouth.

Personality[]

Dadaping is smart, serious, and organized. He is always looking to learn new things, and he often helps Romi with his extensive knowledge about numerous topics and strategies to catch at Teenieping or handle a conundrum.

However, like his fellow Royal Teeniepings, he can be rather immature sometimes. While he is smart, he is quick to assume things before knowing the full story, as shown in "Dadaping, the Smart One".

Etymology[]

  • The Korean name "바로핑" (Baroping) may be derived from the Korean word "바로잡다" (balojabda) meaning correct.
  • The English name Dadaping's etymology is unknown, but it may be derived from Dadaism it can also be related to the latin word data which in a philosophical context can mean things known or assumed to be facts.
    • However, it's likely that it's derived from it's Russian name and spelling, "Дадапин" (dadaping), which means "yes-yes ping" as "да", which is pronounced "da", means yes in Russian. Ironically, the Russian dub also uses that the same name for Dadaping.
  • The Chinese name, "正正萌可" [zhèng zhèng méng kě], likely stems from the word "正确的" [zhèng què de], which means "right" or "correct".

Magic[]

Transformation[]

Romi transformed as Princess Cloudia

Like his Royal Teenieping comrades, by kissing Romi on the cheek, Dadaping can help her transform into a magical princess. He can transform Romi into Princess Cloudia.

When transformed, Romi gains physical strength and can use the power of her various magic tools to carry out her objective.

Magic powers[]

Tinkle Puff[]

With his magic book, Dadaping can sprinkle Tinkle Puff to create books that can grab or pursue objects or people, and post-its to mute people.

He can also use it to make someone more productive, as demonstrated in “Dadaping, the Smart One.”

While Romi & Heartsping learn about Nile’s situation that’s caused him to miss school, Dadaping — appearing to have been watching them from the bushes — causes Romi’s Teenieping Alert to ring, and he tearfully leaps out of the bushes to finally greet them. Having heard about their conundrum, Dadaping immediately goes out to turn Nile from lazy to studious without really listening to what Romi & Heartsping have to say.

This works against him when Nile causes more harm than good, which Romi tells him about, but he argues that he simply did what was asked. This leads to a brawl all over the library between Romi & Dadaping, which Heartsping tries to stop by cutting their clash of attacks off mid-way, causing the two of them to stop and apologize for the misunderstanding. He joins Romi from this point on, becoming the second of six Royal Emotion Teeniepings to join her.

A transformed Romi stops the clones by using her magic. However, Dadaping takes on several odd transformations, which can only be fixed by stones from Dr. Monziu. Combining her magic and the power of the stones, Dadaping is restored to his original state, but his body has turned pink as a side effect, which lasts a week and is made into a joke courtesy of Heartsping, Gogoping & Jun.

Trivia[]

  • Dadaping's character and design may be inspired by a couple of other characters:
  • Like Shushping, if you look at Dadaping's hand that's holding the pencil, it looks like he is left-handed[1].
    • However, considering that Dadaping mainly uses his right hand when using magic, there's a possibility that he is ambidextrous[2], or he's left-handed and only uses magic with his right hand.
      • It's also possible that he's right-handed, but only writes with his left hand.
      • He's the first Royal Teenieping, and the first Teenieping by extension, to wear glasses.
  • Dadaping's concept used to be honesty in Season 1.
    • As of season three, Trueping is now the Teenieping of honesty.

Notes[]

  1. Look closely at Dadaping's hand when he's holding a pencil in the episode "Trouble In The Library".
  2. Someone who's both right-handed and left-handed.
