Dessert Catch! Teenieping is the fourth season of the Catch! Teenieping series. It consists of 26 episodes which aired on the South Korean station JEI TV from September 22nd, 2023 through March 29th, 2024. The episodes are all added to the official Korean YouTube channel[1].

Synopsis[]

The Dessert Teeniepings are known for making the most delicious treats, but that was until Puffping, a seemingly normal Dessert Teenieping, stole the Magic Sugar Ball, releasing all his friends on Earth for Romi to catch! Romi and the Royal Dessert Teeniepings then get on a new mission, and learn more about the life of the Dessert Village, while also meeting two Teeniepings who refuse to show their faces and can't stop arguing. And while Puffping's attempts to stop them fortunately always remain unsuccessful, it seems like his actions might be hiding a bigger mystery...

Season 4 is the season which has, by far, the most songs, themed around many different Teeniepings.

Dessert Catch! Teenieping OST and Dessert Catch! Teenieping Ending Song[]

The Dessert Catch! Teenieping opening song is used in the opening, showing various images of the very first episodes of the season as well as looks on the characters and Teeniepings. Its extended version, the Dessert Catch! Teenieping title song is also available to listen, but has no music video.

Also, for the first time ever, this season has a special ending song, used in the ending credits of each episode. It has a music video with various images of the season.

Dessert Teenieping Song[]

The traditional Dessert Teenieping Song was released, as usual, near the end of an episode, and was showcased in "Sweet and Sour Dessert Party".

Various Teeniepings Songs[]

This season stands out has it has, by far, the biggest amount of songs as, following the Teenieping Carol Song, other songs revolving around specific Teeniepings were released, following the same animation style, except the snow was replaced of cherry blossom trees (except in the Jellyping Song Korean MV, which was, weirdly enough, released after the Fluffyping Song which had no snow). It is also to note that the Cupping & Muffping Song has two different music: one with images from Season 4, and one with the special animation.

Teenieping 100 Song and Dessert Catch! Teenieping Carol Song[]

Two special songs, heavily inspired by the Teenieping Song of Season 1, were also released in December. The first, Teenieping 100 Song was a remake of the Teenieping Song, with the exact same melody but different lyrics, as the song is about all the Teeniepings of the whole series. It is significantly longer than other songs. The music video is simple, featuring images of each Teeniepings taken from various seasons.

The other, Dessert Catch! Teenieping Carol Song, was a special Christmas-themed song, which introduces for the first time ever the special 3d videos with the special Teenieping Village environment and special animation style. It features the Royal Teeniepings and a snowy Teenieping Village.

Dadada Song[]

The Dadada Song is a special song sang by Hye-joo, which was partially heard and was the main interest of "Pudding Pudding, Pudding Dance". Its full version and music video (which features images from the episode) was released a few months after the episode came out.

Timeline[]

  • In an interview on November 20th, 2022, SAMG confirmed that a fourth season is in the works[2]. On July 17, 2023, SAMG also confirmed that the season will start airing in September[3], as expected.
  • On July 26th, the official Instagram account posted an exclusive look at the logo and title of this season, now known as Dessert Catch! Teenieping[4], and hinting at a food-themed season.
  • A day later, on July 27th, one Naver user spots one trademark made by SAMG[5][6], revealing much new information: starting with the new Teeniepings' names (both in Korean and English) as well as the new species being centered around desserts. Along with that are also revealed the new princesses' names, a hint towards Maya and Marylou's possible redesigns, and the existence of a new character named "Nanny".
  • In August, various teasers are posted, revealing new designs and new characters: Heartsping's new design is revealed on August 3rd[7], while Romi's new design is revealed a week later, on August 11th[8]. Princess Berryheart as well as Shashaping, Jellyping, and Fluffyping's designs are revealed on August 16th[9].
  • On August 20th, a large number of toys were leaked, revealing new Teeniepings designs, as well as facilities, props, and the return of Teeniepings from previous seasons[10]. Shortly after, SAMG revealed official photos of Heartsping and Shashaping's plushes on August 22nd[11], as well as Fluffyping and Jellyping's plushes on August 24th[12].
  • On August 28th, the season's title and opening songs were posted on YouTube[13].
  • On August 30th, Romi, Heartsping, and the new Royal Teeniepings' renders are posted on the official SAMG website[14]. On the same day, SAMG also revealed in a conference that the first two episodes of the season will be pre-released on the official Catch! Teenieping YouTube channel on September 22, as part of a social media promotion strategy[15].
  • On September 1st, JEI TV's website is updated with new information regarding the season (therefore confirming JEI TV to be the official broadcast channel): the synopsis as well as the first TV airdate is revealed[16].
  • On September 3rd, new leaks appeared, revealing new figurines and at the same time a better look at some Teeniepings[17], as well as the first look at Sweetping and Tangyping[18].
  • On September 5th, the Emotion Castle store is updated with plushies of 9 regular Dessert Teeniepings, releasing on the same occasion new high-quality renders of these Teeniepings[19][20]. More Teeniepings' figurines were released on September 7th[21], some of which included the first look at the seasons' princesses.
  • On September 11th, the official YouTube channel released the official trailer for Dessert Catch! Teenieping[22].
  • The official English title of the season, which was previously called Sweet and Sour Catch! Teenieping is revealed on SAMG's English website[23] on September 12th to be Dessert Catch! Teenieping.

Trivia[]

  • This will be the first season to feature an all-female lineup of Royal Teeniepings.
    • Because of this, it marks the launch of this as the first season does not have any male Royal Teeniepings debut in this season.
  • This the first has being distinguish of the quantity of the Teenieping catching have high quantity of many female Teeniepings and has little quantity of a few male Teenieping in this season.
  • In Korean, this season is called 새콤달콤 캐치! 티니핑, which translates to Sweet and Sour Catch! Teenieping. This title highlights the dynamic of the Sweetping and Tangyping, but it was changed, likely because it was too long in English, so now it's Dessert Catch! Teenieping.
  • Unlike the three previous seasons, this is the first season so far to not involve a magic kiss from the selected Royal Teeniepings during a transformation. Instead, the Royal Teenieping creates a magic mixture in which Romi drinks this from, causing the transformation to begin.
  • This the first season that has the transformation scene had experience got one of a few changes.
  • Unlike the three previous have used the night background to transform, instead, this season has a colorful background when transforming and Teenieping-themed dessert instead of Teenieping prop item appears on the screen has the rainbow.

The ending of her transformation and she is performing the pose.
    • In the scene where the Dessert Teeniepings create desserts with their magic, a cameo is seen first one of the donuts have Trustping on it, and 2nd, there is also a pink donut that has the symbols of the Season 1 Royal Teeniepings, the clover for Chachaping, the star for Gogoping, the cloud for Dadaping, the music note for Lalaping, and all the hearts for Heartsping.
