Romi braves opposition and embarks on a new journey to find Heartsping, but Heartsping, whom she finally meets, refuses to communicate with humans...
Plot[]
The pink rose petals fly above the sky with one of them making its way to the Emotions Kingdom. It passes through the forest and a group of Teeniepings before setting off and flying into Romi's hand while she's asleep. The alarm clock goes off, which makes Romi wake up so suddenly that she ends up falling off of her bed.
The maid enters the room and helps Romi get ready for a big event. She provides a mirror with a bowl for Romi to brush her teeth and wash her face, helps her put on her dress, and does her hair before placing a tiara on her. However, because Romi realizes that she's in a rush, she grabs a piece of buttered toast as she makes her way to the throne room. She goes down the hallway where she runs past the butler, which makes him almost drop the items on the plate, and helps place the bottle back on the plate.
After a short while, Romi manages to make it on time to the throne room and meets up with her parents just as they're starting to wondering about where she is. Once situated, Heart King begins the big event where Romi finds her Teenieping partner.
Through song, Romi gets to meet Freezeping, but is distraught by him when he makes a wind storm that freezes all of the citizens in the room. She gives another chance and meets Stickping, but after she binds a bunch of people with her ribbons together, Romi thinks that she isn't a good pick either. The knights and citizens encourage Romi that she will eventually find her Teenieping partner as several Teeniepings appear and surround her. This makes Romi go up to the throne and gives her hope to find a Teenieping suited for her.
Afterwards, Romi is at the library and is deeply upset that she couldn't find a Teenieping partner for her upon looking through numerous books. She looks up and finds a certain book that's high above her, so she climbs the ladder and reaches out for it, but she ends up clinging to the book before she falls and crashes on to the floor as a bunch of books fall and hit on her head. As Romi is complaining about the pain, the book she attempts to grab opened up to the page about Heartsping. Upon seeing it, Romi gets thrilled and convinces herself that she's the Teenieping that she wants to be partners with.
Romi expresses her desires in a form of a song as she traverses through the library and longs to meet Heartsping while holding on to the book. A light comes out of the book and projects an astral form of Heartsping as she flies around, making Romi follow and play with her. Romi goes down the stairs as vines filled with pink roses start to form around the library, and makes her way out of the place.
She dances and plays with the Heartsping under the roses until the petals on the ground blow away to reveal a starry sky underneath. The two then gaze under the stars and dance along the bridge before Romi goes to hug Heartsping. She's brought back into reality in the library as numerous rose petals fly around, setting her goal to find Heartsping to be her Teenieping partner.
Later, Romi is at the throne room as Heart King runs up to her, feeling happy that she's decided who her Teenieping partner will be. But once she decides that her partner will be Heartsping, everyone becomes shocked and starts whispering amongst themselves. Heart King gets serious because he understands the dangers of where she's at, so he forbids Romi from seeing her. Queen Belita agrees with the king, thinking that it's for the best.
When Romi turns to Dr. Monziu, he explains that Heartsping lives in Ramien Kingdom, which is a dangerous place since there are monsters that live in the area that prey on humans and Teeniepings. However, Romi's determination to meet Heartsping is so strong that he fails to persuade her. Thus, she becomes upset at her family's disapproval and goes to her room with tears in her eyes.
Later at night, a heartbroken Romi gazes outside of her bedroom window and sees the rain. She looks at the book that turns to Heartsping's page, but being reminded that she can't have her as a partner, she bursts into tears. Queen Stella finds Romi crying in her room, so she goes over to comfort her. She hugs Romi before giving her the Magic Compact, saying that it will take her to meet with her partner, which makes Romi happy.
After that, Romi sneaks out of the castle with her luggage and past the guards to find Heartsping. She then comes at the bus stop where she calls and meets Mr. Bus Stop. He's in disbelief that Romi wants to go to Ramien Kingdom, but because he can't resist her pleading, he insists that he can take her to the place only if she wins at a race.
Romi agrees to the challenge, so the two prepare to race to the tree on top of a hill. They begin to run as they leap over a log, and go up the steep slope. Mr. Bus Stop is winning, but Romi's determination to see Heartsping comes through; she picks up the pace and runs faster before she barely manages to touch the tree before Bus Stop Man. True to his word, he allows Romi to travel to the Ramien Kingdom.
Later, the two are at the bus stop as a bus arrives. Mr. Bus Stop wishes Romi good luck on her journey; she steps into the bus after saying goodbye as it takes off and flies into the sky.
In the meantime, the king and queen are devastated at the news that the butler and the maid informed that Romi had left the castle. Heart King is panicking and deeply concerned about his daughter's safety, so he rushes to the double doors only for him to get knocked back as soon as the doors swing open. The guards help him up; Queen Stella reassures him that Romi will be safe on her travels.
As for Romi, she's peacefully traveling above the clouds when all of a sudden, a huge storm envelops the sky as the heavy thunder shakes the bus. The bus dodges through the lightning, but soon comes across a dark purple monster with a face that's attacking the vehicle. Romi is about to embrace the impact, but she finds herself back in the bus as if nothing happened, making this all just a dream she had. Despite this, the bus flies to the Aizu Village where it drops Romi off before riding away.
Romi walks around the quiet streets; the townspeople shut their doors and windows and encourage others to rush inside. Romi is confused but continues walking. Suddenly, she hears someone shouting at her to run away, and the girl grabs Romi's hand and starts to run. Following them is a huge pink monster holding a pipe and a sack. From her pipe, the monster blows bubbles towards the two girls, and objects resting on the streets get trapped inside and start to float. The monster claps her hands, which causes the bubbles to burst and everything to crash down, putting the girl in serious danger. They try to escape, but the monster surrounds them with her bubbles. Eventually, they get trapped inside separate bubbles. The monster plays with them before popping the girl's, dropping her into a river. The monster pops Romi, and she starts plummeting to a bridge. At that moment, a horse runs up to Romi, transforms into a human prince, and catches her.
After her pipe falls into the river, the monster begins to cry and runs away. The prince checks on Romi, and the girl gets back onto the bridge. The girl recognizes him as Prince Liam and runs up to him. But he leaves. Telling Romi to be careful, before the girl can greet him. She tells Romi that he is the prince of the Ramien Kingdom and that she is disappointed about not getting to see his face up close. The girl introduces herself as Marie, and Romi introduces herself. Romi's stomach rumbles, and so Marie takes them to her house.
After finishing her meal, Romi thanks Marie for saving her and giving her the food. When asked why she came to the Aziu Village, Romi tells Marie that she is looking for her partner, Teenieping. Marie is taken aback and tells Romi that, in that town, Teeniepings and humans cannot be friends. She further explains that Teeniepings have changed badly, like the monster from earlier, Happying, who used to be an adorable Teenieping. It is because of Truthping, Prince Liam's erstwhile Teenieping partner who became a monster and cursed the prince, turning him into a horse who can only briefly become human. Romi suspects that the monster living in the village must be Truthping but is not scared.
Romi tells Marie that she must find a partner Teenieping because she is the princess of the Emotions Kingdom. Marie is astonished at the fact that she is the princess and starts treating her like royalty. Romi asks about Heartspring, and Marie says that she believes Heartspring lives in a forest under no curse. Romi begs Marie to take her there. Marie is under because the forest is dense and potentially dangerous, but she eventually reluctantly agrees. Romi jumps for joy and thanks Marie.
Marie leads Romi along a winding dirt path just as the first signs of morning sunlight break through the mist. The trail is lined with crooked trees and glowing moss, and with every step deeper into the forest, the air grows quieter. Romi, undeterred by the eerie atmosphere, skips ahead with excitement, her eyes scanning the canopy for any sign of magic.
As they venture further in, the trees grow taller and closer together, until sunlight can barely reach the forest floor. Marie warns Romi to stay close, her voice hushed. Strange rustling noises echo through the underbrush, and at one point, a burst of pink rose petals startles them both. Still, Romi presses on, clutching the magical compact her grandmother gave her.
