Weeping's Appearance

Weeping's Appearance

Weeping has a pale yellow body with a white underbelly. She has leaf-shaped teal bangs with two tufts of hair.

She wears a leaf shaped collar with a green button, a leaf-shaped tail, and has brown eyes.

Personality[]

Weeping is a sensitive and tearful Teenieping. She often feels a lot of sadness such as watching the rain, but apart from that, Weeping can have her cheeky side like manipulating people to cry so she can eat tear candy, but she can be supportive when needed and likes to share her candy with her friends.

Etymology[]

  • The Korean name 주르핑 (“Juleuping“) comes from 주륵주륵 (“juleugjuleug“), which is actually used to describe water flowing down like rain, but in this case, it's likely related to “crying“.
  • The Japanese name ポロピン (“Poropin“) comes from ポロポロ (“poro poro“), which is the sound of “dripping“.
  • The Chinese name 泪泪萌可 (“Lèi lèi méng kě“) comes from 泪 (“Lèi“), which means “tear.“ It can also be related to the word 泪水 (“lèi shuǐ“), which means “tear“ or “teardrop“.

Magic[]

With her leaf umbrella, she can throw Tinkle Puff that creates a rainy cloud above its victim which make them cry. Every tear that touches her prop is transformed into a flavored tear candy.

She can also trap people into water bubbles, and her prop allows herself to fly for a short period of time[2].

Episode 10 - Weeping Tinkle Puff

One rainy day in Harmony Town, while watching the rain and eating tear candy made from Weeping's tears, a girl looks out the window and worries about when her mother would return. At this time, a spell is cast on the girl, causing her to cry to which the tears bounce of Weeping's leaf umbrella to turn into tear candies that Weeping can eat. However, the rain suddenly stops when Weeping tastes the strawberry flavor in the tear candies.

When the lady and her baby are passing by with the latter being pushed around via a baby stroller, Weeping sprinkles Tinkle Puff on the baby to make him cry. This prompts the mother to immediately tend to her baby while his tears also provide milk flavored tear candies upon landing on Weeping's umbrella.

In the meantime, Romi enters Heartrose Bakery and overhears the conversation among Ian, Kyle, and Jun. As it turns out, Jun mentions that Sarah has cried, but Ian, Kyle, and Romi don't believe him until they notice that Sarah, who would've normally been brave and doesn't like to lose, is crying.

This further proves Jun's point as the three bakery men are pondering as to what could be the reason for making Sarah cry. Nevertheless, the three of them get back to work, but Romi is left concerned about Sarah's situation.

Subsequently, Romi, Heartsping, and Chachaping are at a park while sitting on a bench to which Romi begins to shed tears, guessing that Sarah is homesick because she misses the Emotions Kingdom. While Romi is busy crying, Weeping comes nearby and comforts Romi by asking her to cry with her to which the latter's tears give soda flavored tear candies.

She appears in front of Romi while eating candy. As Romi thought that it was Weeping who made Sarah cry, she and Chachaping decide to catch Weeping with the former transforming into Princess Clover.

Princess Clover tries to convince Weeping that it's not good for her to shed tears because the latter only wants to make candy out of her tears and eat it, but Weeping argues that she finds tear candies to be delicious, so she throws a tear candy and feed it to her.

Since Princess Clover wants to eat more tear candies, Weeping uses her magic to trap Princess Clover in a giant water droplet and almost drowns her. Fortunately, she's rescued thanks to Chachaping and Heartsping, but Princess Clover begins to sob because the magic's influence is activated too late.

Weeping exclaims that she tries to eat a lot of the tear candies that poured down like a waterfall, but because she ate so much in a short period of time, her own magical power runs out and a dark cloud appears above her head. This causes her to be trapped in the water droplet due to the heavy rain created by the dark cloud.

Seeing that she's in danger of drowning if left unattended, Chachaping neutralizes Weeping's Tinkle Puff with the Water of Hope magic, and she herself is rescued by Princess Clover thanks to her magic.

Romi and Weeping have a heart to heart about how the latter's sorrow is so strong that it can't be controlled on her own and about sadness. Romi asks if Weeping wants to come home to which Weeping mentions that she'd love to come and stay as she forms tear candies from her own tears.

One that's for Weeping and the other is meant for Princess Clover to which the latter responds with joy that it's the best tear candy she's ever tasted in her life. Once everything is all settled, Princess Clover manages to catch Weeping.

However, Sarah's tears doesn't stop even after Weeping was caught. The reason is that she actually developed a cavity as a result of tasting too many desserts. In other words, it wasn't Weeping's prank from the beginning, and instead, Weeping teaches her a lesson that eating a lot of sweets is not good for your teeth, but to Heartsping and Chachaping, “You're not the one to talk with, Weeping!”

Upon hearing this, Weeping hides in the Magic Catcher's case, embarrassed after receiving a scolding.

In Romi's room, when Gogoping is hit by one of Luvping's arrows, and he's lying on Romi's bed as Dadaping tries to pull it out, but to no avail, Dreamping appears in the background with Dreamping and the Royal Teeniepings.

Romi comes up with a plan to catch Luvping by asking Dylan to which the other Teeniepings look at her with surprise. Heartsping decides to stay with Gogoping while the other Royal Teeniepings go with Romi to catch Luvping with Lalaping helping Romi transform into Princess Melody off screen.

Afterwards, Weeping and Dreamping appear in the background again when Luvping is brought to Gogoping with one of her arrows stuck in Gogoping's body. Unfortunately, Luvping doesn't know how to extract the arrow as she's not even sure why this even happened on a Teenieping as all of Luvping's arrows should've disappeared upon impact. This causes everyone to be shocked as even Dr. Monziu and Dadaping's magic book have no information on how to extract the arrow out of Gogoping.

Upon hearing this, Heartsping bursts into tears as Luvping apologizes as there's nothing that the latter can do. When all hope seems lost, one of Heartsping's tears lands on Gogoping's body with the arrow stuck on it as a bright light emits from his body and Luvping's arrow has disappeared. The Teeniepings celebrate in joy upon realizing that Gogoping's back to normal while Dadaping and Romi ponder on Heartsping magic that there's still some things about her that they don't even know about.

She offers them to taste her tear candies to which they praise for being so tasty. She's surprise by Goodping, who gives her a lucky stamp for her act of kindness.

However, as Bebeping eats one of the tear candies on the floor and realized how delicious they are, she uses her magic to turn Spookping, Shyping, Goodping, and Weeping into babies. Their tears fall on to Weeping's umbrella as Bebeping eats the tear candies.
